Scholarships open for Trans Health Symposium

The Organising Committee for the Aotearoa NZ Trans Health Symposium has been fundraising for scholarships for trans and non-binary people who want to attend the 4 May Symposium in Hamilton. At the moment they have enough funding for 2 full scholarships and some partial scholarships.

THESE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE FOR PEOPLE WHO:
* are trans or non-binary
* do not have the resources to self-fund attending the Symposium (so cannot afford the travel, accommodation and/or registration costs)
* do not work for an organisation that is able to sponsor these costs and
* who will pass on what they get from the conference to help support other trans and non-binary people who want to access gender affirming care.

If you want to apply for a scholarship, please complete this short online form explaining what financial support you need. People can also contact the Organising Committee on registration@transhealth.nz to ask to be sent a copy of the form to fill out.

You need to complete and submit or return the form by midnight on Saturday 20th April.

The Organising Committee will let people know by Saturday 27th April, at the latest, if they have been awarded one of the full or partial scholarships.
